Started out ok. Quickly went down hill. Aweful service during the winter, you should treat the locals good, they keep you in business. Latest inspection found roaches. We won't be back.

I have been meaning to try this for a long time. I was impressed with the place. My breakfast was tasty and well done. I will be going back. Not sure why it matters to some how the menu is put together.

I use to live in Surfside Beach, and this was one of my favorite places to have breakfast. Now that I don't live here, I always make a point to stop in on vacation. It is a straight up diner feel, with good quality food, big portions and good prices. Very friendly waitstaff. A must
(5)Curtis M.
It's a basic breakfast spot with nice people. Food was nothing special and without any special food presentation. Flavors were what you expect, but exceeded no expectations.
(2)Leigha C.
This restaurant was not good at anything. It wasn't very clean or well kept. Service was slow. Coffee wasn't refilled. But the low point was the food. Wouldn't return.

This here is some down home cooking. The family Jenny's in Surfside will set you up right. I had a great big breakfast omelette and biscuit with gravy, as well as a couple decent cups of coffee, and I didn't leave hungry! They've got news on the TV, a cadre of regular local folks who hold interesting conversations, and plenty to choose from on the menu. When you're ready to go, pay at the cashier stand and don't forget to tip!

I will definitely return to this wonderful family restaurant...great food, great service and great prices!!!

A friend and I head out for breakfast every Sunday morning, in search of the best breakfast on the Grand Strand. We have been all over from Andrews to North Myrtle Beach and a few weeks ago, discovered Jenny's. It's off the main drag so you have to be looking for it on Glens Bay. It's well worth the time to find it, believe me. Our first trip there was so good, we decided to try it a few more times to make sure it was as good as we thought it was the first time. Their breakfast menu is extensive and they offer everything from eggs and the best home fries around, to chicken fried steak or pork chops and just about anything you could ever want to start a day with. In a word, their food is, excellent. The eggs are always perfectly cooked, the potatoes are incredible with bits of onion and bell pepper and the breakfast meats are fresh and cooked to perfection. They serve huge portions of grits and they do not skimp on anything here. The service is excellent and Jenny works the floor with the other staff, and that says volumes to me. Being a cook and being in a relationship with a woman that spent years owning a restaurant and a very successful catering business, we know good food and great service, That combination will make or break a small restaurant. Jenny's nailed it, every time we have been there. The food is excellent, the choices are expansive and the service is Southern Friendly and very attentive. I wish the restaurants over on the Marsh Walk could take a page out of Jenny's book, but then again, bigger is not always better. Thank you Jenny for a great place for breakfast, every day. The MacDaddy

Southern home cookin and lots of it. Friendly service and good food. We were here for breakfast. Might hafta try lunch next time

Surfside Jenny's is a family operated business. Locals are treated like family. Food is fresh, service is sometimes a little slow, depending on how busy they are. But hey, this is South Carolina! In reference to a waiter calling his mother "Mom" (the owner), when was that a crime? Jenny takes care of the locals and that includes her family. I give Surfside Jenny's two thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!
(4)Morgan M.
I give it a 3/5 purely because the good was really good .... The eggs were iffy for me the service was lacking other than our waitress the atmosphere however needs some work I live in the south but it is really too loud and crowded though I appreciate that they tried to make it homey.
(3)Michael I.
Great Breakfast, if you crave true southern cuisine. The grits are perfect and the portion sizes very generous. If you are looking for ambiance and candle light go somewhere else. This is a very casual come as you are eatry. I have not had lunch but look forward to the fried green tomatoes.
(3)Ricky D.
This place has became our family's Saturday morning breakfast spot. The service is great and they make anyone feel like family. They have the best biscuit and gravy in town!
(5)Kelly C.
I liked the fact this place was family owned. The food however, is not home made tasting, which is what I expect from a southern restaurant. It, like most restaurants in Myrtle, serve fried frozen food. The server was nice, I believe it was the owners son. The decor is old, hodgepodgery and dusty. The clientele is older locals. Next time I come (if) I will try their breakfast,

Attention Surfside Beach locals: I have found one your local places! Located just off of Bus. 17 (turn at the Hardee's) I'm guessing the normal visitor would not find this place given all of the restaurants on the highways, but I asked for a local place for lunch at my hotel and they suggested I go here. Rustic, dive-ish looking place from the outside, and a good ol' country look on the inside. The place is open for breakfast and lunch and closes at 2pm. My server provided me with the menu but neglected to mention a signboard with the "meat plus 2" lunch options. I went with a three egg omelet with cajun chicken and two types of cheese. The meal includes your choice of grits or potatoes, pancakes or biscuits and gravy. I selected the grits and a side of potatoes. Oh my what a HUGE meal! Don't know what spices they use on the cajun chicken but it got my attention - not one of those so hot you cant enjoy it spices but enough to give it some oomph! Grits were perfect and the potatoes were cut into chunks and had a good flavor. I finally had to throw in the napkin as I couldn't finish the omelet. The place had two servers and unfortunately I got the less attentive one. She let me run out of beverage and wasn't good about checking on me. That's the only less than positive comment I have about my lunch experience.
(4)Jeremiah M.
Great mom and pop restaurant. Nothing too fancy. Pancakes, omelets, were great.
(3)Kerry R.
I was referred to Surfside Jenny's after expressing a want for grits, biscuits and gravy. Boy, am I happy I went! Staff was friendly and treated me like family. I ordered the SOS deluxe... WOW. It was delicious, but I could only make it thru 1/4 of my plate! I'm having breakfast here again next time I find myself in MB. You've got somethin good there, Jenny!
(5)Timothy H.
An obvious family owned place... The waiter asked the owner a question and called her "mom". The outside is rustic and almost Carolina mountain themed. Service was quick, food portions were very generous, and was quite palatable. I'll be back and place it into my rotation of breakfast dives. Open for breakfast and lunch only. I support local businesses over the chains!
(4)Tim L.
Good food! I got the Hungry One Omelet. The veggies needed a little more cooking but man I housed that thing. My family will be back for sure!
(4)John C.
Family owned and operated - was there over 4th of July week so was extremely busy. Portions were generous and served quickly. No sticker shock when it came time for the bill. All and all a little hidden gem to grab a great breakfast at if you are looking to stay away from the standard fast food.
(4)J S.
This is a great place. Not sure about the other reviews but received great food and great service. I had an omelet with peppers and onions which had excellent flavor (a bit spicy for those who like a little spice). The pancakes were nice size (plate size) which I like. Silver dollar pancakes were on the menu too. I would recommend.
(4)Ashley L.
Great little mom and pop place, very friendly service. No matter what you order make sure to get a biscuit to go with it. They are home made, big, fluffy and delicious and came straight from the oven. Decor is fun and old fashioned. Great place to stop in before heading to the beach.
(4)David G.
Mom and Pop business that has both their children working in it. It was truly a family affair. The brother and the ester work as the servers, while mom and pop are in the back. The food was good and served relatively quickly and hot. although the breakfast was not especially different, the

Oh Jenny... We were seated quickly and started looking through the menu ( which was made with plastic binder sleaves tied together by balloon string. ) the items on the menu sounded great but then after receiving our food I was less then impressed. The pancakes were a little rubbery when trying to cut with a fork and thank goodness there was plenty of butter and syrup or they wouldn't have been touched. The best part was the corned beef hash omlett, pretty tastey. The atmosphere inside is dingy and dirty feeling with several failed attemps to patch and repair parts of the restaurant. All in all I would not go back.
(2)Tara B.
I got sick off this food 2 days in a row. I will not be coming back for that reason and because the service is horrible.
(1)Maggie H.
Really great breakfast food. Next time I am in the area, I will definitely come back.
(4)Pablo H.
I have been to Jenny's once and would not go back. I thought it was going to be a nice little local place with good food and quaint atmosphere. It is more like a dive with average food and a dirty envireoment. The food was not nearly as good as several breakfast places (local and chain) you can find up and down 17. Maybe if they cleaned up and repaired the place and took time to improve the menu.... but until then I will not go back.
(2)merle t.
I have been to Surfside Jenny's a few times and the food is excellent! The service is good but not fast, this is not a negative. You need to slow down and enjoy your meal and the people you are with. If you need to be in and out, I do not suggest this great place for grub. The gravy is very good and the portions are large, so if you want a down home spot instead of the tourist traps give Jenny's a try.
(4)Byron J.
